Our Mission

To equip Christian workers for ministry in their local communities, churches and beyond.

We use Global University’s, Berean School of the Bible curriculum in a evening class room environment. Combined with an active mentoring program UBTC provides students with the knowledge and confidence necessary for effective, productive ministry.
 

Our History and Profile

 
Urban Bible training centers are a cooperative effort of Berean School of the Bible and Assemblies of God U.S. Missions. First begun on 1990 there are now 35 training centers throughout the U.S.
 
The Tampa center was first chartered in 1994 and has since graduated 140 students. Its graduates now serve in a variety of ministries both locally, nationally and abroad.

Fourteen courses are offered over a period of two years. Classes are taught one night each week on a quarterly basis at various Tampa Bay area locations.

For those interested in credentialing with the Assemblies of God there are additional seminar and internship courses required. The appropriate District Office should be contacted for specific requirements for credentialing.
